It’s all of these things, for all of these kinds of people.
How did we get here? Well, here’s the story:
Once upon a time, there was a girl who was losing her shit.
That girl was me.
My name is Kyla Rose.
In order to minimise collateral damage in my relationship in a desperate act to be understood, I created The Meltdown Guide. And it worked.
It worked so well I completely forgot about it.
Years later I started this blog. Looking for blog fodder, I posted the guide.
Within a week I had 1.5 Million views on the post, emails and tweets pouring in from the far reaches of the galaxy and I realised something profound.
No one is having THIS conversation.
Your mental state does not exist in a vacuum. No matter how many pills you take, how often you meditate, how many runs you go on, attempting to fight the ridiculous monster inside your head, you are not the only one who is battling this beast.
Your lover, your friends, your family, they are all battling your beast too. They want to help, and they feel useless. Everything that seems intuitive to them about what should help is wrong. They are stuck and upset and just want to love you the way you need to be loved.
We are all talking about talking about mental health, but when it comes to the shit show it makes of our lives and relationships, accessible and practical help is pretty much non-existant.
Hence, The Meltdown Guide Blog.
